The yellow carpet attendee who rushed Ariana Grande at the "Wicked: For Good" premiere in Singapore has been sentenced to nine days in jail.
On November 13, a man named Johnson Wen crashed the event's carpet, jumping the barricade and running up to Ariana Grande.
Members of the cast, including Cynthia Erivo, Jeff Goldblum, and Michelle Yeoh, were walking with Grande at the Universal Studios Singapore event when Wen charged toward Grande. The disruptor put his arms around the actress' shoulder and tried to pose with her before security whisked him away. In the commotion, Erivo put herself between Grande and the barricade hopper, protecting her costar.
Despite being shaken, Grande continued to greet fans.
"I'm okay," she told her costars and fans surrounding her.
@mothershipsg At the "Wicked: For Good" premiere in Singapore on Nov. 13, an intruder charged at Ariana Grande on the yellow carpet before being escorted away by security. Netizens and the media have since identified the individual as 25-year-old Australian national Johnson Wen, a.k.a. pyjamamann on Instagram. On his account, Wen posted a video of himself rushing toward Grande with the caption: "Dear Ariana Grande Thank You for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You." He also uploaded a series of Instagram stories documenting his actions that night. This is not the first time Wen has intruded at celebrity events. His Instagram page shows multiple instances of him jumping on stages during concerts by Katy Perry, The Weeknd, The Chainsmokers, and others. Although Wen appeared to be a random disruptor, he has a record of crashing high-profile events, including getting up onstage during concerts and interrupting professional sports games.
In June 2025, Australian outlet 9News reported that Wen was unemployed and had accumulated $20,000 in fines due to these incidents.
Known as "Pyjama Man" online, Wen continues to disrupt events. In his Instagram bio, he states he is the "Troll Most Hated" and nods to his 2023 World Cup Final invasion.

In an Instagram post following the incident, Wen posted a video and wrote:
"Dear Ariana Grande. Thank You for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You ❤︎"
When asked if he would do it again, Wen stated he is "the best pitch invader/streaker in the whole world." He had people tell him to stop disrupting events and questioned his future and career, to which Wen replied, "No way...I'll probably keep doing it."
According to People, on November 14, Wen was charged with "being a public nuisance." He said he would plead guilty to the charges. If found guilty, he could be ordered to pay up to $2,000 Singapore Dollars ($1,500 USD) and sentenced to three months in jail or both.
Wen was given nine days in jail and pleaded guilty to causing annoyance. The prosecutor asked for a week, calling him a "serial intruder" with a glaring "lack of remorse," but the judge upped his sentence to nine days. According to The New York Times, Wen replied he "won't do it again."
